I’ve learned my lessons over the years. There is a certain wisdom that comes with age and even though I am not that old yet I have been around the block. Never interfere with a boy-girl fight, never spend money till you have it in your hand, and never, ever try to move without hiring Movers Chicago.

I can’t say how many bad mistakes I had to make in order to learn this lesson. It’s a little embarrassing actually. When I moved after college I tried to do it all in a car with just one friend helping me. I thought we could strap everything to the roof if it wouldn’t fit and it would be no problem. That didn’t work. One trip became three trips, an hour each way. We were still moving my stuff at midnight, which made lots of noise and didn’t endear me to my new neighbors.

The next time I “wisely” got a moving truck. Or, I planned to. I looked at the listed prices, figured $20 of gas would do it, and that was how much money I set aside. Well, the day of the move I got to the place and it turned out the cost was triple what I expected. They hit me with all kinds of hidden fees and extras that you would think would be included. No such luck. Plus, gas cost way more than I expected. It was a really hard blow to pay so much extra and then have to do all the work myself anyway.

I could go on. The point is, the last few moves I have hired Movers Chicago and I get to kick back. Everything is taken care of for me. I will never switch back, because peace of mind and a sense of control over what is happening is way better than moving yourself.
